Using chard that we grew in our garden, Mrs. Stone, made Chard Soup. We each got a small sample. Most of us loved it and asked for refills multiple times until it was all gone. Eating food we grow seems to taste so much better. If you want to make Chard Soup, click on the Resources Menu at this website for the recipe.

Today we worked hard at picking up leaves and digging up weeds.... a never ending task. But, we had an enthusiastic group who were up to the job. The sun was shining bright and the temperature was perfect for working in the garden. We also decided to harvest some of our chard which will be turned into Chard Soup in a few weeks (no meeting next week due to Presidents' Day and school being closed).
We had fun with the Snap Peas that we harvested and ate. First we pretended that they were mustaches. Eating the peas fresh off the vine was a tasty treat.
