4th Grade Garden Club members are awesome and so hard working. During our 20 minute recess we get so much done by breaking up into teams. This week we planted some native plants in the California Native Garden with the help of parent volunteer, Ms. Silvia. Parent volunteer, Mr. Rios, helped some students to plant a fruit tree out side of Room 33. Staff member, Mrs. Stone, worked with students learning how to plant seeds. We planted edible Snap Peas in our Garden Club plots and flowering Sweet Peas in six packs to plant later. Students continued to work away at removing the old soil and raking up those fall leaves. Ms. Buck, 4th grade teacher, worked in her class plot with students to plant Bok Choy. We also were good garden citizens and made sure earth worms were safely relocated while digging.
