Dutch Iris Bulb Planting The awesome thing about gardening in Southern California is being able to have colorful flowers year long. Today we planted some Dutch Iris bulbs. We also enjoyed the Sweet Peas (different than the Sugar Snap Peas we can eat). They self planted and from past year's plants. The are lovely to look and and smell.

Part of gardening is to clean out the old debris and make room for the new growth. There has been a ton of leaves falling into the garden from surrounding trees. The 4th Grade Garden Club is working hard to clean out all of the old plants and leaves. Just look at all those trash bags filled in our 20 minute recess break.
4th Grade Garden Club members were busy tucking onion bulbs into the raised garden beds. Last year, the onions did well. We look forward to seeing them grow this year. |
