We also planted some pretty pansy flowers, a tomato plant, and some cilantro with the help of Lilly's dad, volunteer, Mr. Rios.
Our focus this meeting was to learn about Worm Composting. Nadia W., daughter of volunteer Ms. Silvia, shared her knowledge of worm composting with the students. She showed them her families worm container farm and we passed out instructions on how students could make their own worm farm. For fun, students snacked on pretend worm compost and worms (dry cereal mixed with gummy worms)! We also planted some pretty pansy flowers, a tomato plant, and some cilantro with the help of Lilly's dad, volunteer, Mr. Rios.
