Today we set up potting stations to plant Alyssum, Coleus, and Sweet Pea seeds. We hope to take advantage of the rains to keep the seeds watered. January through April are often our rainier months.

Students added some begonias which should brighten the planters located on the west side of the school near the Densmore Street entrance. We didn't get time to plant these yesterday. It is hard to not getting the planting urge when the sun shines and warms the grounds. We had fun planting lots of vegetables such as tomatoes, green peppers, cauliflower, carrots, beets, cilantro, parsley, and more. There is still a lot of cleaning up to do in the garden. A never ending up task but one the student gardeners enjoy. They love getting their hands into the dirt. They also love seeing the garden shape up. |
