Students in the 4th Grade Garden Club met at recess. The 4th Grade Garden Club received lovely thank you's in the form of a poster from the kindergarten students. They thanked the club for helping to weed and water the Kindergarten plot.
After much anticipation as we watched the Snap Peas grow, 4th Grade Garden Club members got to sample the Snap Peas from our garden plots. They snapped off the crisp, crunchy peas and ate them pod and all. Ms. Lisa brought some Ranch Dip in which to dip them. Students found them delicious and a great nutritious snack.
We took an opportunity to walk around the garden and small the lilac and curry plant. We explored to see any catipillars were on the Milk Weed but didn't find any. Ms. Silvia took a group over to the planters outside of Room 33 & 34 to transplant some Sweet Peas (the flower kind) which will look lovely when they bloom.
